Stephen Curry Earns Fourth Straight SoCon Player of the Week Honor

DAVIDSON, N.C. -- For the fourth consecutive week and fifth time this season, Stephen Curry of the Davidson men's basketball team has been named SoCon Player of the Week as announced by the league office Monday morning.
A sophomore from Charlotte, N.C., Curry averaged 33.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.5 steals per game while connecting on 52.4 percent of his attempts from the floor. The 6-3 shooting guard also nailed nine three-pointers and made all 14 of his attempts from the charity stripe.
In Davidson's come-from-behind victory at UNC Greensboro (Feb. 13), Curry scored a career-high 41 points on 14-of-26 shooting, before backing that performance with 26 points against Furman Saturday.
Curry has been named SoCon Player of the Week eight times in his brief career.
Winners of 15 straight and 27 consecutive SoCon regular season contests, Davidson (19-6, 17-0 SoCon) returns to action Tuesday, Feb. 19 in a 7 p.m. televised (ESPN2) contest against UNC Greensboro at Belk Arena.
