Stephen Curry Earns Third Straight SoCon Player of the Week Honor

DAVIDSON, N.C. -- For the third consecutive week and fourth time this season, Davidson's Stephen Curry has been named Southern Conference Player of the Week for the week ending Feb. 10 as announced by the league office Monday morning.
The nation's fifth leading scorer at 25.0 points per outing, Curry averaged 31.0 points and seven rebounds per game in the Wildcats' victories over Elon (Feb. 6) and College of Charleston (Feb. 9) to run Davidson's winning streak to 13 straight.
For the week, the native of Charlotte, N.C., connected on 19-of-35 (54.3 percent) from the field and drained 52.9 percent (9-of-17) of his attempts from downtown, while going a perfect 15-for-15 at the charity stripe.
Curry has been named SoCon Player of the Week seven times in his brief career.
Winners of 13 straight and 25 consecutive SoCon regular season contests, Davidson (17-6, 15-0 SoCon) returns to action Wednesday, Feb. 13 in a 7 p.m. televised (Mid-Atlantic Sports Network) contest at UNC Greensboro.
