
Wildcats Head to Chattanooga for Saturday Evening Contest with the Mocs

DAVIDSON, N.C. -- Riding the nation's third longest winning streak, Max Paulhus Gosselin and the Davidson Wildcats head to Chattanooga for a 7 p.m. tip with the Mocs Saturday at McKenzie Arena.
WILDCAT UPDATE
- Davidson enters Saturday's contest at Chattanooga 14-6 overall and 12-0 in SoCon play following its 10th straight victory, a 78-65 triumph over Wofford Wednesday. Stephen Curry led the Wildcats with a game-high 34 points, 20 of which came after the break. The frontcourt duo of Thomas Sander and Boris Meno also contributed double figures for Davidson with 11 points each.
- The Wildcats' current streak is the third longest in the nation behind Memphis and Drake. To go along with its current spurt, Davidson has won 22 straight SoCon regular season contests.
- Curry leads the SoCon in scoring and ranks fifth nationally with an average of 24.4 per outing. The reigning league Player of the Week also ranks among national leaders in three-pointers per game (4th/4.4).
- Along with Curry ranking among national leaders in scoring, his backcourt mate Jason Richards is also averaging double digits (12.7 ppg.) and still leads the country in assists at 8.4 per contest, while ranking 23rd in assist/turnover ratio (2.65).
- During Coach Bob McKillop's 16 years coaching amongst SoCon competition, he has guided the 'Cats to at least 10 wins in conference play 14 times. Davidson's start to the 2007-08 conference slate marks the third time the Wildcats have started 12-0 under McKillop. The other times Davidson began the season 12-0 in league play it posted perfect SoCon marks (1995-96 & 2004-05).
- McKillop is coaching his 550th career game at Davidson this evening.
