DAVIDSON, N.C. – The Davidson men's basketball team will host the College of Charleston in the second annual “Blackout Belk Arena” game February 9 at 3 p.m. at Belk Arena. Limited tickets remain for tomorrow's contest.
Fans are encouraged to wear black to the game, and “Blackout Belk” T-shirts will also be available for purchase. Davidson Basketball will dish out a large assist on game day, as a portion of the ticket and T-shirt proceeds will be donated to the Ada Jenkins Center, a Davidson-based charity that seeks to improve the quality of life for the residents of local communities through the integrated delivery of health, education and human services.
This contest will be a rematch of last year's Southern Conference tournament championship game, a 72-65 Davidson win, as well as last week's 70-58 Wildcat win in Charleston. The Cougars bring Tony White Jr., College of Charleston's leading scorer, to Belk Arena as well as legendary former ACC coach, Bobby Cremins, who led Georgia Tech to 14 postseason appearances and a final four appearance.
Tickets for "Blackout Belk Arena" can be purchased online. The Blackout Belk Arena game is one of the most popular games of the season. The Wildcats are on the verge of a sell out and only a limited amount of tickets remain available. Blackout Belk T-shirts will be sold on game day as well as through the ticket office starting February 4 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
