WILDCAT UPDATE
- Winners of nine straight and 21 consecutive SoCon regular season contests, the Davidson Wildcats look to end Wofford's four-game winning streak with a 7 p.m. tip against the Terriers Wednesday evening at John M. Belk Arena.
- The Wildcats enter the contest 13-6 and a perfect 11-0 in conference play after capping their second three-game road trip in as many weeks with a 70-58 victory at College of Charleston Saturday. Thomas Sander led four Davidson players in double figures against the Cougars with a season-high 21 points on 7-of-10 shooting from the floor.
- Stephen Curry leads the SoCon in scoring and ranks fifth nationally with an average of 23.9 per outing. The reigning league Player of the Week also ranks among national leaders in three-pointers per game (6th / 4.1) and free-throw percentage (24th / 87.1 percent).
- Along with Curry ranking among national leaders in scoring, his backcourt mate Jason Richards is also averaging double digits (12.8 ppg.) and still leads the country in assists at 8.5 per contest, while ranking 23rd in assist/turnover ratio (2.65).
- During Head Coach Bob McKillop's 16 years coaching amongst SoCon competition, he has guided the Wildcats to at least 10 wins in conference play 14 times. Davidson's start to the 2007-08 conference slate marks the third time the Wildcats have started 11-0 under McKillop. The other times Davidson began the season 11-0 in league play it finished with a perfect SoCon record (2004-05 / 16-0 & 1995-96 / 14-0).
