DAVIDSON, N.C. -- A perfect 10-0 in league play for the third time under Head Coach Bob McKillop, the Davidson Wildcats look to continue their streaks in a 5 p.m. televised contest at College of Charleston Saturday.
WILDCAT UPDATE
- Fresh off its 15th straight league road victory and eighth consecutive win, Davidson looks to extend its 20-game SoCon regular season winning streak in a 5 p.m. tip at College of Charleston.
- The Wildcats enter today's contest 12-6 overall and a perfect 10-0 in conference play after an 87-70 triumph at The Citadel Thursday evening. Stephen Curry led three Davidson players in double figures with a game-high 28 points and the Wildcats torched the nets shooting 59.6 percent against the Bulldogs.
- Curry leads the SoCon in scoring and ranks fifth nationally with an average of 24.3 per outing. The 6-3 shooting guard also ranks among national leaders in three-pointers per game (5th / 4.1) and free-throw percentage (T-18th / 89.1 percent). The SoCon Preseason Player of the Year has reached double figures in 45 consecutive.
- Along with Curry ranking among national leaders in scoring, his backcourt mate Jason Richards is also averaging double digits (12.9 ppg.) and still leads the country in assists at 8.7 per contest, while ranking 20th in assist/turnover ratio (2.69).
- During Head Coach Bob McKillop's 16 years coaching amongst SoCon competition, he has guided the Wildcats to at least 10 wins in conference play 14 times. Davidson's start to the 2007-08 conference slate marks the third time the Wildcats have started 10-0 under McKillop. The other times Davidson began the season 10-0 in league play it finished with a perfect SoCon record (2004-05 / 16-0 & 1995-96 / 14-0).
