Men's Basketball to Battle UCLA in 14th Annual John Wooden Classic

DAVIDSON, N.C. — Already featuring a number of high-profile opponents, the 2007-08 Davidson men's basketball schedule is closer to completion with the addition of UCLA, head coach Bob McKillop confirmed Tuesday. The Wildcats will battle the Bruins as part of the 14th Annual John Wooden Classic in Anaheim, Calif., on Dec. 8 at the Honda Center.
Established in 1994, the Wooden Classic is an annual tribute to the legendary former coach and the excellence he personifies.
Returning 11 letterwinners and all five starters from last year's club that won its second straight Southern Conference Tournament and school record 29 games, Davidson has scheduled contests with North Carolina and Duke, both at Bobcats Arena, as well as road games against Charlotte and N.C. State.
In 2006-07, UCLA advanced to its second straight Final Four, finishing the season with an overall mark of 30-6.
