DAVIDSON, N.C. -- Coming off an eight-day break for exams, Bob McKillop and his Davidson Wildcats will travel to Raleigh, N.C., for a 7 p.m. contest with N.C. State Friday. The game will be televised on Fox Sports South.
WILDCAT UPDATE
- Davidson enters 4-5 overall following a 95-74 victory over SoCon foe The Citadel, Thursday, Dec. 13. The Wildcats' backcourt of Bryant Barr (23), Jason Richards (21) and Stephen Curry combined (20) for 64 points and 14 the club's 15 buckets from downtown.
- Curry, the SoCon's Preseason Player of the Year, continues to lead the Wildcats in scoring, averaging 24.1 points per outing, which also ranks him ninth in the nation. The 6-3 guard is shooting 47.8 percent (77-161) overall and 41.9 percent (39-93) from downtown. Curry's 4.3 three-pointers per contest also ranks him second nationally.
- Along with Curry ranking among national leaders in scoring, his backcourt mate Richards is also averaging double digits (12.8 ppg.) and leads the country in assists at 9.0 per contest.
- As a club, the Wildcats rank in the Top 10 nationally in three-pointers per game (11.2/3rd), assists per game (19.7/4th) and assist turnover ratio (1.60/2nd).
- Davidson is 4-37 under Head Coach Bob McKillop versus the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Wildcats have dropped 15 straight against the ACC including two this season to No. 1 North Carolina (Nov. 14) and No. 7 Duke (Dec. 1).
