The Wildcat women's swimming and diving team will host the Georgia Southern Eagles women's swimmers in their first Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association dual meet on Friday evening at 6 p.m. at Cannon Natatorium.
Fresh off breaking a pair of records and winning a pair of titles at Emory, reigning CCSA Swimmer of the Week Lindsey Martin will lead the Wildcat women against the Eagles. Martin's times in the 50 and 100 freestyles are currently tops in the conference.
Scouting the Eagles
The Eagles are 2-0 in dual meets this season and are coming off a 120-89 win over Vanderbilt in the first meet at the Aquatics Center at the Recreation Activity Center on Saturday.
Two GSU swimmers were triple event winners on the afternoon with sophomore Courtney Martz and freshman Ali Campbell leading the way. Martz was victorious in the 50 freestyle, 200 backstroke and 400 freestyle relay. Campbell, last week's CCSA Swimmer of the Week, notched wins in the 1000 free, 500 free and 400 free relay.
The Eagles also defeated fellow CCSA member College of Charleston 184-115 in a dual meet on Oct. 13.
