One of the stars of Coach Terry Holland's basketball teams in the early 1970s, John Falconi led the Wildcats to the Southern Conference regular-season title in 1972 and 1973 as the team's leading scorer both seasons. He was named to the All-SoCon first team in both seasons as well. Injuries caused him to miss seven games in his senior season, but Falconi still averaged 13.3 points a game and finished his career as the 15th Wildcat to score 1,000 points (1,028). He averaged 15.1 points a game and shot 51 percent for his career. Only nine other Davidson players have been named All-SoCon first team more than once. Falconi also recorded the only triple double in Davidson history with 17 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists vs. Loyola (Chicago) in 1973. He currently ranks 36th at Davidson in career scoring and 23rd in assists.
