
Teachman Breaks Javelin School Record At VertKlasse Meeting

HIGH POINT, N.C. - John Teachman's second-place finish in the javelin highlighted the men's track and field team on the first day of the VertKlasse Meeting. Teachman broke his own school record and threw 64.79m on Thursday afternoon. He previously broke the school record with a mark of 64.02m at this same meet last year.
Masson Heiny nearly broke his own school record in the hammer throw with a 60.68m mark. Heiny set the school record at the Davidson Relays last week with a 60.69m mark. Heiny finished sixth overall in the hammer throw on Thursday afternoon.
Parker Bartlett ran a season-best time in the 5000m. Bartlett put down a time of 15:35.40 and was 18th overall.
