Weymouth enters her second season at Davidson for the 2012 season as this is Weymouth’s first full-time assistant coaching assignment at the college level after serving as an assistant coach at St. Anne’s Belfield in Charlottesville, Va., in the spring of 2010. While there, she taught fundamental lacrosse skills and techniques, worked with the team and individual players and helped with organizing daily practices and running drills.

“I’m very excited to have Blair join our program here at Davidson,” said head coach Kim Wayne. “Her experience as a player at UVa (University of Virginia) will bring a new perspective to the program and to our attacking unit. What drew me to Blair the most was her level of maturity despite being a recent graduate. Having spent a fifth year playing soccer at Virginia while completing her masters degree helped her transition from a college player to a new coach.”

Weymouth comes to Davidson after a highly successful four-year playing career at the University of Virginia. During her time there, she was a four-time All-American and was named the National Rookie of the Year in 2006. Weymouth broke onto the scene her first year with accolades of first-team All-ACC, second-team All-American by womenslacrosse.com, third-team All-American by insidelacrosse.com, two-time National Rookie of the Week and ACC All-Tournament Team. She was named VaSID Rookie of the Year as well as earning a spot on the all-state first team, and was named to the Tewaaraton Trophy Watch List, an honor she earned all four years. She tallied eight hat tricks and tied a UVa record for assists as a first-year player.

In 2007, Weymouth was a first-team All-American by the IWLCA and a second-team All-American by Inside Lacrosse and womenslacrosse.com. She was named to the ACC All-Tournament Team again, while setting the record for goals scored in an ACC final, with six against Duke.

Despite missing a portion of the season during her junior campaign in 2008, Weymouth was still named IWLCA third-team All-American and grabbed a spot on the All-South Region first-team.

She closed out her playing career by earning team MVP honors in 2009, a spot on the All-American team and was the Virginia State Lacrosse Player of the Year.

Weymouth also competed one year on the women’s soccer team while she worked on her masters degree. She earned her masters in educational psychology in 2010, after receiving a bachelor’s degree in government, with a focus in american politics in 2009.

She has worked numerous lacrosse camps ranging from ones at the University of Virginia and University of North Carolina to prep level at Groton Academy, Brookwood Middle School (co-director), St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes School and St. Anne’s Belfield.

She also was an Athletic Advisor for Empower the Athlete in Charlottesville, Va. While there, Weymouth was an advisor to student-athletes looking to be recruited into college for lacrosse, worked with student-athletes on organization, initiative, and recruiting techniques and spoke to parents and clients on a weekly basis.
