Coaches' Comments: “Christian is confident, tough, embraces challenge and loves having the ball when the game matters most.  He's a playmaker that has the ability to release forwards but also has the ability to get beyond the strikers."

2015: Started all 18 games in the midfield as a junior… Recorded a goal and a pair of assists… Scored the equalizer in Davidson’s 2-2 draw with former league-foe Wofford (9/4)… Set up the eventual game-winner in the Wildcats’ 2-1 win over USC Upstate (9/25)… Also added an assist in the following contest, a 2-2 draw against Duke (9/29).

2014: Started 17 of 18 games on the season, recording four points on two assists and one goal… Scored his first career goal in the Wildcats’ season-opening 4-3 victory over Cal Poly (8/29)… Registered assists in wins over UMass (11/2) and St. Joseph’s (11/6)… Landed three of his six shots on target.

2013: Played in 15 games as a freshman, including one start… Tallied his first career assist on Alec Rotunda’s equalizer in Davidson’s 3-2 win over Campbell (9/11).

Prep Years: Named Somerset County Player of the Year as a senior… Also earned all-county and all-state recognition… Finished with nine goals and 11 assists in 2012… Served as a team captain last season… Led Pingry to the 2012 State Championship game… Helped the PDA U18 club to a Regional title… Named to the Honor Roll.

Why did you choose Davidson? “It is a great school with a really nice campus that offers great athletics as well.”

Personal: Son of Jerry and Cynthia Fechter… Has two older brothers, Brad and Matthew … Father played lacrosse at Drexel… Both siblings played collegiate soccer... major is history.
