Bio
2016: Made 12 tackles, five solo, for a loss of eight yards and a sack • Registered two solo stops in a 38-12 win over Livingstone (9/17) • Assisted two tackles against Stetson (10/1) • Had a season high three tackles, all of them assisted at Campbell (10/5) • Notched his first sack of the season for a loss of eight yards against Morehead State (11/19).
2015: Played in all 11 games • Finished the season with 18 tackles • Had four tackles against Campbell (10/31) • Recorded a career-high six tackles against Marist (10/24) • Made four tackles at Butler (10/17) • Had a tackle in the season opener at The Citadel (9/5).
2014: Moved to the defensive side of the ball in his sophomore season • Finished with 18 tackles on the season, as well as a tackle for loss • Recorded 3 tackles against College of Faith (8/30), Princeton (9/27), Dayton (10/4) and Drake (10/11) • Also had a tackle for loss against Stetson.
2013: Named to PFL Academic Honor Roll • Did not see any game action for the Wildcats.
Prep Years: Three-year letter winner playing football for coach Ned Gonet at Ravenscroft School • Named all-conference as a senior • Team co-captain • Oasis Shrine Classic representative • Also a two-year letter winner playing lacrosse • Named all-conference in lacrosse twice • Member of National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society and Cum Laude Society • National Merit Commended Status • Honor Roll all four years, and named to Head of School List (earned al A’s) for three years.
Personal: Born May 19, 1995 • Son of Player and Romy Barefoot • Has two siblings, Haley (20) and Slater (15) • Pair of Uncles played golf at North Carolina and football at VMI, respectively.
