2022: Appeared in 10 games for Davidson... Recorded seven tackles on the season... Had a pair of tackles against Richmond in the NCAA Playoffs.
2021: Saw action in 10 games for the Wildcats… Made 16 stops, 10 of them solo… Registered his first interception at VMI (9/4)… Recorded two pass break ups, one at Stetson (10/2) and the other vs. St. Thomas (11/6).
2020-21: Appeared in five games • Recorded a pair of solo stops in a win over Morehead State (3/20) • Found the stat sheet with tackles at Elon (2/20) and the road win at nationally ranked San Diego (4/3).
2019: Appeared in seven games with a starting assignment • Made two tackles in a win over Georgetown (8/31) • Had a solo stop in a win over Virginia Lynchburg (9/7) • Assisted tackles against West Virginia Wesleyan (9/14) and Campbell (9/21).
Prep Years: A 2019 graduate of Lake Braddock Secondary School • Was coached by Jim Poythress and Mike Dougherty as a member of the football team • Tabbed a first team All-District and All-Region defensive back (2019) • Was a three-time All-District second team selection (2018-19) • Helped lead his team to three straight District Championships (2017-19) and was a State Finalist (2019) • Was also an All-State basketball player.
Personal: Born November 2, 2000 • Son of Kimberly and Jurmell James • Has a younger brother, Maxwell • His father Jurmell, played basketball at Virginia.
