2nd Season (Volunteer Asssist)
Tim Riemer begins his second season with the Davidson baseball program.
During his first season with the 'Cats, Riemer helped Davidson to an impressive 28-22 season and a trip to the semifinals of its first-ever Atlantic 10 Tournament. The Wildcats rallied for two wins at A-10s, including an upset over the No. 1-seed Saint Louis.
Riemer was a former professional player in the Cleveland Indians organization where he played in the NY-PENN league as a catcher for the Watertown Indians in 1989. He was an assistant coach after his professional stint at St. John Fisher College in 1992, serving as a hitting instructor and directed strength and conditioning programs for all the baseball players.
Currently an independent strength and conditioning coach in Davidson, N.C., Riemer also managed the Newark Barge Bandits in Newark, N.Y., in 1995. He handled all on-field baseball operations for the Class A team in the North Atlantic League.
In additioning to being a fitness professional, Riemer has also been the Managing Director for Lake Norman Charter in Huntersville, N.C. (July 2008-August 2011) and the General Manager/Head Trainer for CrossFit Davidson, which he rebuilt after a change in ownership. Riemer increased membership sales by 154 percent and created a new organizational model to promote sustainability amongst members and employees. He designed and implemented strength, conditioning and nutrition programs.
A graduate of St. John Fisher College ('93) where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology, Riemer is certified as a CPR and AED, as well as a strength and conditioning coach (USA Weightlifting), level I coach (CrossFit) and CrossFit Endurance.
Riemer earned his masters at State University of New York College at Brockport ('97), getting an M.A. in educational administration.
