The Renaud File: Walked onto the team this fall after competing in only one try-out. It did not take long to realize that Laura is one of the hardest workers on the team. She refuses to lose any 50/50 ball that comes her way.

2009: First-year defender played in 12 games and saw name in the starting lineup three times ... grabbed a season-best two groundballs vs. Stanford, Apr. 17 ... finished season with five groundballs to go along with two draw controls and two caused turnovers.

Prep and personal: Three-year letterwinner and defender for the Maryvale Prep lacrosse team ... senior year garnered Athlete of the Year award and was a captain ... earned Donald Pershing Litz Memorial Lacrosse Scholarship in 2007, while bening named to the Under Armour All-American Underclassmen Team in 2006 ... part of the 2006 and 2007 soccer team that was the IAAM Champions ... IAAM All-State in 2007 ... part of the National Honor Society (president) and French Honor Society ... Maryland Distinguished Scholar honorable mention ... given the Comcast Leaders and Achievers Scholarship and the Presidential Award for academic achievement ... mother, Bunny Renaud, played for the Davidson women's tennis and field hockey teams.
