DAVIDSON, N.C. – Davidson placed eight players in double figures and concluded non-conference play with a 114-53 victory over Mid-Atlantic Christian Monday evening from inside John M. Belk Arena.
In addition to 13 blocks, the Wildcats shot 61.2 percent from the floor, including 15 3-pointers, while improving to 15-9 overall.
Manie Joses and Roberts Blums led the way for Davidson with 14 points each. Parker Friedrichsen (13), Josh Scovens (12), RJ Greer (12), Ian Platteeuw (11 pts, 12 rebs, 5 blks), Nick Coval (12) and Sam Brown (10) also cracked the 10-point plateau.
Janai Williams and Keondre Rodgers led the Mustangs with nine points each.
The Wildcats held a 51-27 margin on the glass.
"We searched tirelessly to find an additional non-conference game throughout the preseason, but we were never able to reach an agreement with the right opponent on the right date," said head coach Matt McKillop.
"With the A-10 schedule giving us a 9-day break during our bye week in early February, we were given an interesting opportunity to find a game. Having the chance to compete on the court to maintain our energy and growth as we head into the final stretch of our season, while still allowing for us to get the needed rest of a bye week, is something that our staff and players all believe to be the best thing for this team."
