Brooke Ross Scores Five Goals, 'Cats Open Season with 14-5 Victory

DAVIDSON, N.C. – Behind a career-high five goals from Brooke Ross, the Davidson women's lacrosse team took down Wofford 14-5 to open the 2026 regular season.
Ross scored Davidson's first goal of the season at the 13:42 mark in the first quarter and added another in the same frame. Devyn Martinez and Kaitlyn Uller also scored and the 'Cats led 4-1 after the first quarter.
Davidson opened the scoring in the second quarter with a goal from Jenna Skibbe at the 6:27 mark. Aeryn Curren, Allie Hartnett, Keira Best, and Brook Ross also collected goals in the second quarter and the 'Cats led 9-2 at halftime.
The Wildcats outscored Wofford 4-1 in the fourth quarter. All of Davidson's goals came from Jenna Skibbe and Brooke Ross in this frame. Skibbe finished with three goals.
Davidson had 10 caused turnovers in the game. Allie Hartnett and Tema Wagner each had two caused turnovers. Kayla Joyce finished the game with seven saves for the Wildcats.
