
Davidson Defeats Charlotte 15-5 on Wednesday Night

DAVIDSON, N.C. – Jenna Skibbe's six goals highlighted a 15-5 victory for the Davidson Wildcats over Charlotte on Wednesday night at Field 76. This is the seventh time the junior has scored six or more goals in a game in her career. The Wildcats improved to 2-0 on the season.
Skibbe and Mali White led Davidson with one goal each after the first quarter. The 'Cats jumped out to a 4-0 advantage with a little over two minutes elapsed in the second quarter. Allie Hartnett scored her second goal of the game with eight seconds remaining in the first half. Davidson led 6-2 at halftime.
The 'Cats outscored the 49ers 5-1 in the third quarter. Kella McGrail, Jenna Skibbe, Mali White, and Aeryn Curren all scored at least once in this frame.
Three of Jenna Skibbe's six goals came in the fourth quarter. In addition to Jenna's six goals on the night, Allie Hartnett was second on the team with three goals.
Margit Crittenberger, Sophie Majernik, Tema Wagner, Mali White, and Allie Hartnett each had two caused turnovers to lead the defense. Kayla Joyce finished with eight saves.
