In January, Kyra Bruyndoncx scored a game-high 18 points and Charlise Dunn (17 pts, 12 rebs) added a double-double to lead Davidson past VCU. The Wildcats finished with a 42-27 advantage on the glass, including 18 offensive rebounds.

For Dunn, it was her eighth 10-point, 10-rebound effort of 2025-26. Katie Donovan also scored in double figures for the 'Cats with 15.
ELITE ELENA
One of the bright spots for the 'Cats in their loss to Richmond was Elena Alvarez's 12-point performance on 5-for-9 shooting, marking the second double figure scoring night of her career.
Since entering the starting lineup at Loyola Chicago, the Spanish freshman has been the 'Cats primary point guard. Over that span, she leads the team is assists with (40) and is shooting 50.8 percent from the field. She is also tied for the third leading rebounder over the period averaging 3.2 per game.
STIFLING DEFENSE
In games where the Wildcats hold their opponents to less than 40 percent from the field, they have an 8-1 record. They are also 11-0 when they hold their opponent to 55 points or less and are 11-4 when recording 10 or more steals.
The team ranks third in the A-10 in scoring defense, limiting opposing offenses to 58.3 points per game. They also rank fourth in steals per game averaging 9.3 per game.
DOWN THE STRETCH
The Wildcats enter the final stretch of the regular season with four games left, starting with Wednesday's matchup against VCU. They currently sit in a three-way tie for fourth place in the A-10 alongside Loyola Chicago and Saint Joseph's.
Davidson has already defeated three of its remaining four opponents once this year—VCU, Saint Louis, and Fordham—and winning out would significantly strengthen their chances of earning a double-bye in the conference tournament.
Four wins would also mark the programs first 20-win season since the 2011-12 season.
