Wildcats Host Rematch Against Richmond

DAVIDSON, N.C. – The Davidson College Women's basketball team seeks to avenge their early season loss against Richmond when they Host the Spiders Saturday afternoon inside Belk Arena.

LAST TIME OUT
Charlise Dunn turned in her second 30-point game of the season and Davidson snapped a three-game losing streak with a 68-58 win over George Washington Saturday.
Dunn scored 19 points in the second half, including 16 of 20 in one stretch. She finished 11-of-21 shooting from the field, 2-of-7 from 3-point range and 7-of-8 at the stripe, while also grabbing six rebounds. Katie Donovan scored in double figures as well, finishing with 11, while Kyra Bruyndoncx added nine.
SERIES HISTORY
Richmond leads the all-time series against Davidson 11-5 and has won five in-a-row against the Wildcats. The two programs battled in a thrilling triple overtime game earlier this season with Spider's coming out victorious, winning 91-84.
The Spiders were led by Maggie Doogan's 48-point scoring night, setting the NCAA single-game scoring high for the 2025-26 season. The Wildcats matched Doogan's scoring output to take it to triple-OT with 20-point games from Katie Donovan (27), Charlise Dunn (21) and Kyra Bruyndoncx (20).
The Spiders are riding a nine-game winning streak and rank second in the A-10 standings with a 10-1 league record.
DUNN ON A HEATER
Over the past five games, Charlise Dunn has been playing some of the best basketball of her career, capped off by her 31-point game against George Washington. The senior is averaging 20.8 points, 10.0 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game over that stretch on 40.7 percent shooting from the field.
Dunn is now the third Davidson women's basketball player in program history to record three 30-point games in a career, joining Jen O'Brien (1996-2000) and Justine Lyon (2015-2019). Over this five-game period, Dunn went on a streak of four double-doubles and eclipsed the 1000-point, 500 rebound career milestone at Saint Joseph's.
STIFLING DEFENSE
In games where the Wildcats hold their opponents to less than 40 percent from the field, they have an 9-1 record. They are also 11-0 when they hold their opponent to 55 points or less and are 10-4 when recording 10 or more steals.
The team ranks third in the A-10 in scoring defense, limiting opposing offenses to 58.5 points per game.
Rebounding has been key for the Wildcats in victory, going 12-2 when out rebounding their opponents. The squad leads the conference in average opponent rebounds per game, limiting opposing teams to 32.3 rebounds.
