DAVIDSON, N.C. – Highlighted by three top-five showings during the regular season, the Davidson women's cross country team heads to Mechanicsville, Va., this weekend for the 2026 Atlantic 10 Championships.
The women's 6K, which is taking place a Pole Green Park, is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. Saturday morning. This marks just the fourth time in conference history the women will compete at that distance.
"We are extremely excited for this weekend's A10 Championships," said Director of Cross Country / Track & Field Jen Straub. "We have shown tremendous dedication and consistency throughout the fall, and we're ready to put all our hard work to the test and finish the season strong."
The Wildcats were led by freshman Sarah Maple in each of their four races this fall. A native of Highlands Ranch, Colo., Maple has three Top-10 finishes in 2026.
Davidson's Ansley Prescott, Abby Smith, Gilly Shumate, Justine Meta and Camryn Quinn have also been key contributors this season.
Following the 38th annual conference meet, the Wildcats will take part in the NCAA Southeast Regional in Spartanburg, S.C.
