‘Cats Look to Take Momentum to Saint Louis

DAVIDSON, N.C. – The Davidson women's basketball team opens up the 2026 calendar year with a Saturday afternoon contest at Saint Louis.

LAST TIME OUT
Katie Donovan scored a team-high 18 points and Charlise Dunn notched her fifth double-double of the season to lead the Davidson Women's basketball team to a 62-50 win over Loyola Chicago in Atlantic 10 action last Wednesday.
Leading 13-9 after the first quarter, Davidson went on a 10-0 run to start the second quarter, outscoring the Rambler's 17-10 in the quarter and extended their lead to as many as 17 points midway through the third.
Loyola outscored the 'Cats 22-19 in the in the final 12 minutes of regulation, cutting the deficit to six points at the fourth quarter media timeout. The Wildcat defense held strong, limiting the Ramblers to two points in the final five minutes to claim a double-digit win.
Dunn totaled 13 rebounds in the contest, a season-high and the second highest mark of her career.
SERIES HISTORY
The Billikens lead the all-time series 8-6 after splitting the season series with the Wildcats last season. The Wildcat's took a resounding 94-53 road win on Jan. 5, 2024, where five players tallied double-digits, led by Issy Morgan's 20-point night.
Saint Louis bounced back in the second game, defeating the Wildcats at Belk Arena, 60-51. Donovan led the way for the Wildcats, scoring 16 points in a losing effort.
Entering the game with an 8-7 record, the Billikens are coming off a 72-62 win over Duquesne on Wednesday and are 2-0 in conference play.
DONOVAN CLIMBS THE RANKS
After a 4-for-5 three-point shooting performance at Loyola, Donovan increased her three-point percentage to 52.5 on the season. This ranks second in the entire nation and number one in the Atlantic 10.
In her last eight games, the junior from Queensland, Australia is shooting 58.1 percent from deeps and 52.1 percent from the floor, while averaging 15.3 points per game. In A-10 play, she is 9-of-15 from beyond the arc.
STEALING WINS
The Wildcats totaled a team season-high 16 steals against Loyola on Wednesday. This is the 10th game this season the 'Cats have had 10 or more steals in a game and second time they have had 15 or more. They lead the A-10 in total steals and average 10.0 steals per game.
