DAVIDSON, N.C. – In addition to an 18-game conference slate, home dates with the likes of Washington State and Saint Mary's, an appearance in the Charleston Classic and a first-ever trip to historic Phog Allen Fieldhouse, the Davidson men's basketball program unveiled its 2025-26 schedule on Thursday afternoon.

Non-Conference Schedule Breakdown
Eight of the 12 non-conference games are at home and include matchups with DeSales (Nov. 3), Washington State (Nov. 7), Bowling Green (Nov. 15), North Carolina A&T (Nov. 28), The Citadel (Dec. 4), Saint Mary's (Dec. 7), Mercyhurst (Dec. 13) and Temple (Dec. 18). Saint Mary's has made the NCAA Tournament each of the last four seasons and won the West Coast Conference championship over Gonzaga in 2024.

The Battle for the Hornets' Nest is up for grabs when Davidson travels down I-77 to face Charlotte (Nov. 11). The two teams have met 51 times, and the Wildcats won last year's matchup 75-71.

Davidson will make its fifth appearance at the Shriners Children's Charleston Classic on Nov. 21 versus Boston College and Nov. 23 against either Tulane or Utah State.

This portion of the schedule is capped off with a 2008 Elite Eight rematch against the Kansas Jayhawks on the road (Dec. 22). This will be the fourth matchup all time between the Jayhawks and Wildcats. Davidson beat Kansas 80-74 on Dec. 11, 2011, in Kansas City.

"Our non-conference schedule is something that our program and fans can be very excited about," said head coach Matt McKillop. "From the high-level opponents that will be coming to play in Belk Arena, to the Charleston Classic, to playing in historic Phog Allen Fieldhouse, this year's slate will prepare us well for A-10 play."

Davidson's season opener against DeSales on Monday, Nov. 3, features a unique connection. Nick Coval's father, Scott, is the head coach at DeSales.

"We have become close with the Coval family since we began to recruit Nick to our program," said McKillop. "It will be special for Nick to have the experience of playing against his father."

The Wildcats are still exploring the opportunity to add an additional game to their non-conference schedule.

Atlantic 10 Schedule Breakdown
Davidson's 18-game Atlantic 10 slate will feature home-and-away games with five opponents — Duquesne, Fordham, Loyola Chicago, Richmond and Saint Joseph's.

Additionally, the Wildcats will host La Salle, Rhode Island, Saint Louis and VCU and visit Dayton, George Mason, George Washington and St. Bonaventure.

"As we have come to expect, every night in the A-10 will be a battle, both home and on the road," said McKillop.

The Wildcats open league play at home against Duquesne (Dec. 30). When the calendar flips to 2026, Davidson's first game at home will be against Rhode Island (Jan.10). Davidson's final regular season home game is against Saint Joseph's (Mar. 4).

The end of January features back-to-back matchups against the reigning A-10 Co-Regular Season Champions. Davidson hosts VCU (Jan. 24) and then plays at George Mason (Jan. 28).

The road matchups with Saint Joseph's (Jan. 3), Dayton (Feb. 15) and Fordham (Feb. 21) provide unique travel opportunities.

"I love that many of our players will have the chance to compete close to their hometowns," said McKillop. "Nick Coval and Sam Brown will be close to home playing at Saint Joseph's. Devin Brown won a high school state championship in Ohio at UD Arena. RJ Greer will have a chance to go against his father, Ricardo, when we travel to Dayton. Sean Logan will have rows of family and friends in the stands when we play at Fordham."

"Our Davidson fans and alums also make us feel so at home in many of the cities we compete in when we go on the road. I believe they will have a lot to cheer about this season," added McKillop.

Eleven of the conference games will be nationally televised across either CBS Sports Network, USA Network or ESPN Networks. Game times and further TV information will be released later and updated on davidsonwildcats.com as it becomes available. Season tickets are on sale now and can be purchased HERE.

Entering its 12th season in the Atlantic 10, Davidson has won two regular-season titles (2015, 2022), a tournament title (2018), and made three NCAA Tournaments (2015, 2018, 2022). The Wildcats have also reached the tournament semifinals nine times.
