  • After two straight on the road, Davidson returns home Saturday for a 7 p.m. kickoff with Greensboro College.
  • The Wildcats enter 0-3 on the season after falling at No. 15/16 Tennessee Tech last weekend.
  • Davidson played three straight against FCS scholarship programs to open the 2025 campaign.
  • Four of the Wildcats' opponents this season have appeared in the FCS Top-25 or received votes.
  • Since joining the Pioneer Football League (2001), Davidson is 1-4 against teams ranked in the FCS Top-25. The lone win came against then-No. 25 San Diego in 2021.
  • The Wildcats are 6-2 at Davidson College Stadium, which opened in 2024.
  • Wide receivers Brody Reina and Ivan Hoyt lead Davidson with two touchdowns each.
  • Preseason All-American Mari Adams finished with a season-high 58 yards on 11 carries at Tennessee Tech.

  • Continuing its challenging non-conference stretch to open the 2025 campaign, Davidson fell at No. 15/16 Tennessee Tech, 72-14, Saturday afternoon inside Tucker Stadium.
  • Playing its fifth nationally-ranked opponent since 2001, the Wildcats fall to 0-3. The Golden Eagles extended the nation's longest FCS winning streak, while improving to 3-0.
  • Led by Kekoa Visperas, who concluded the day 23-of-32 for 246 yards and five touchdowns (3 pass, 2 rush), Tennessee Tech finished with 576 yards of total offense. In addition, Quinn Quintell rushed for 122 yards and two scores on nine carries for the Golden Eagles. 
  • Shortly after Mari Adams scampered for 37 yards down the sideline, Coulter Cleland connected with Ivan Hoyt for the second straight game, this time with an 18-yard touchdown pass to put Davidson on the board.
  • Adams led the 'Cats on the ground with a season-high 58 yards on 11 carries.
  • With 1:33 left in the half, Christian Lyons forced a fumble that was recovered by Dallas Brown setting up the Wildcats on the Tennessee Tech 19-yard line. On the ensuing play, Cleland found Reina in the end zone to cut the deficit to 31-14.
  • Cleland finished the day, 16-of-26 for 132 yards and two touchdown throws.
  • The Golden Eagles, who led 28-0 after the first quarter, would answer with a 7-play, 50-yard touchdown drive and 60-yard interception return to put the game out of reach.
  • Defensively, freshman Hudson Altenburg led Davidson with nine tackles.
