Women Set to Open 2025 Season Under the Lights at Elon

DAVIDSON, N.C. – For the second straight season, the Davidson women's cross country team will open their campaign "Under the Lights" at the Elon Opener Friday night.
Under the direction of Jen Straub, the longest tenured coach at Davidson, the Wildcats return Molly Sullivan, Mary Shoop, Abby Smith, Hannah Morgan and Justine Meta.
Sullivan, a senior from North Kingston, R.I., turned in her personal best at last season's Atlantic 10 Championships, while Smith was named Rookie of the Week in the conference several times.
Sophomore transfer Ellie Harrington and freshmen Ansley Prescott, Charlotte Moor, Annie Norman, Camryn Quinn and Leah Horgan will also compete for the 'Cats in the opener.
"It's always fun competing under the lights at Elon," commented Coach Straub. "It gives us an opportunity to analyze our fitness as we move forward with the goal of being at our very best in November."

Davidson will enjoy a three-week break from competition before returning to the trails Friday, Sept. 19 at the Adidas Wolfpack Invite hosted by NC State.
