
Langford Named A-10 Rookie of the Week

DAVIDSON, N.C. - Davidson women's tennis freshman Bryson Langford has been named the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week following her undefeated weekend, the league office announced Tuesday.
Langford, a native of Leawood, Kan., was a perfect 4-0 in competition over the weekend with wins over Radford and Lees-McRae, on the way to her first career A-10 weekly honor. Langford won in the No. 4 against the Bobcats and came out victorious in the No. 5 singles position over the Highlanders. In doubles play, Langford joined forces with sophomore Savanna Kollock for a pair of victories in the No. 3 position.
On the year, Langford has found success in singles play as she is currently 9-3 overall, and 2-0 in A-10 matches. The Rookie has spent time in the No. 4 spot (1-0) and No. 5 spot (8-3) so far this season. In doubles competition, Langford and Kollock have paired up in all of the Wildcats' matches this year and are currently 9-3 overall, 1-0 in conference matches while going 4-2 in the No. 2 position and 5-1 in the No. 3 position.
Davidson jumps back into conference play when it hosts, UMass at 3 p.m. on the Davidson Tennis Courts.
