Women Set to Open Outdoor Slate Friday in Charlotte

DAVIDSON, N.C. – Davidson will open its 2024 women's track and field campaign Friday at the 49er Classic hosted by cross-county rival Charlotte at the Irwin Belk Track & Field Center.
The three-day event will begin Thursday morning with the heptathlon and decathlon followed by a full day of events both Friday (9 a.m.) and Saturday (10 a.m.).

Coming off an indoor slate that featured a number of wins, personal and school records, the Wildcats return a number of key contributors as well as welcome a group of talented newcomers.
Davidson's outdoor season will feature seven straight weekends of competition in preparation for the 2024 Atlantic 10 Championships, which will take place May 4-5 in Fairfax, Va.

Davidson will travel to Columbia, S.C., next weekend for the Weems Baskin Classic hosted by the University of South Carolina.
