'Cats Enter A-10 Championships Wednesday
2/20/2024 2:42:00 PM | Men's Swimming & Diving, Women's Swimming & Diving, Swimming & Diving
Four days, one action-packed environment.
Beginning Wednesday, Davidson swimmers and divers will compete at the Atlantic 10 Conference Swimming and Diving Championships at the Hampton Aquaplex in Hampton, Va.
It's what the Wildcats have been building for all season, since before their first meet against Queens on Sept. 30.
"This group has invested a lot of energy and effort this season, and there is eagerness to celebrate that work in competition," said Davidson coach John Young. "The level of performance at our championship has increased considerably during our time in the A-10, a phenomenon that many athletes – including many Wildcats – deserve credit for. We are certainly excited to see our known leaders perform, but also eager to see who among us redefines their competitive identity."
The action commences Wednesday with 1 p.m. prelims in men's one-meter diving, followed by a 5 p.m. finals session including 1M diving and men's and women's 200 medley and 800 free relays.
Action on Thursday, Friday and Saturday will begin with 10 a.m. prelims, followed by night sessions.
