BOSTON, Mass. – Senior Josh Hardin and junior Jack Muldoon each set school records at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational hosted by Boston University on Saturday.
Hardin, the back-to-back Atlantic 10 outdoor champion in the 400, had himself a day. His afternoon began in the 400 when he posted a program-record of time of 47.58 seconds en route to a seventh-place finish out of 213 competitors. This time broke the previous banked-track-record of 47.99 seconds which he set at the same meet last season. It also currently sits as the conference's fastest mark heading into this weekend.
Hardin wasn't finished as he also recorded an indoor-career-best in the 200-meters. The Bluff City, Tenn. native finished in 21.91 seconds to earn a top-25 finish out of over 200 entries.
Also setting a new school record was Jack Muldoon in the 1,000-meters. Muldoon had previously set a top-10 program time the 800 earlier this season and followed that up with a 2:25.20 in the 1000. The Severna Park product broke Raphael Oettl's banked-track-record of 2:27.75 from the 2020 indoor season, and his new career-best puts him well inside the top-5 in the A-10.
Senior Isaac Bynum took home a top-five finish for the 'Cats in the 60-meter hurdles when he stopped the timer in 8.04 seconds in the finals to earn fourth.
Kenny Eheman, Grahm Breiter, and John Cooper all also recorded personal-best times on the day.
