DAVIDSON — Davidson's Dylan Felt was a two-event winner as Wildcats secured first-place points in 12 events in Saturday afternoon's home swimming and diving meet with William and Mary in Cannon Pool.
Felt swam out front in the 500 free (4:30.31) and 1,000 free (9:18.09) as the Wildcat men earned a 154-134 team win.
"Great performances for the teams, and the seniors, today," said Davidson coach John Young. "It was nice to grab a 'W,' but even better to see spirited racing on both sides."
The Wildcats showed their depth in a few events, including Felt's wins. They went 1-2-3 in the 1,000, with Owen Curry and Henry Logan next, and 1-2 in the 500 with Fletcher Smith taking second.
Smith won the 200 fly in 1:52.04, as Wildcats Ben McClain and Zach Jones finished second and third, respectively.
The Wildcats had 1-2 finishes in the women's 50 free and men's 200 free. Martha Tripsa set the pace in the 50 with a time of 24.39, as Addy Donaldson took second. Jeremy Kemp won the 200 (1:42.87), with Mitch McClain second.
Liam McDonough earned a win in the 100 back (51.21), while Andrew Schou won the 200 breast (2:06.13).
Diver Ben Cutforth had the top scores in the one-meter (309.98) and 3M (304.28).
On the women's side, Ann Thompson added a win in the 200 back (2:04.90).
In diving, Annica Valmassei earned first-place points with a score of 276.45 in the 1M, while Elle Jacobsen had the best 3M score (312.80).
