WILMINGTON — Six event wins, including two by freestyler Dylan Felt, highlighted the Davidson swimming and diving teams' return to action at UNCW on Saturday afternoon.
The Wildcats, who returned earlier this week from a training trip in Florida, were competing in their first team event since the Bucknell Invitational (Dec. 1-3).
Last year's Atlantic 10 Conference Most Outstanding Rookie and Performer, Felt swam out front in the 500 free (4:32.59) and 1,000 free (9:16.83).
The Davidson women won four events, with Anna Newman swimming first in the 100 breast (1:03.14) and Addy Donaldson winning the 50 free (23.78).
Annica Valmassei won one-meter diving with a score of 265.65, while Elle Jacobsen was first in the 3M (284.55) event. Each posted qualifying scores for entry into the NCAA Zones.
UNCW had the top team scores Saturday, winning 179-116 in the women's meet and 195-100 in the men's tally.

The Wildcats will host their third and final home meet of the year next Saturday when they welcome William & Mary to Cannon Pool. It'll also be Senior Day for the 12 members of the 2024 class.
