Clark, Wang Earn Academic All-District Honors

Davidson scholar-athletes William Clark and Jerry Wang were named to College Sports Communicators' Academic All-District® Men's Tennis Team on Tuesday afternoon, recognizing the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
Clark has been a four-year player for the Wildcats, earning Atlantic 10 All-Academic honors during his junior year while being a three-time A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll selection as a mathematics major. As a junior captain, Wang has been a two-time A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll member who ended the year 9-9 overall in singles play. The biology major had several match-clinching victories at No. 6, including a three-set thriller at the A-10 Quarterfinals to help lift Davidson past George Mason, 4-3.
The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes men's tennis honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced May 31.
