Wildcats Topped by Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. -- The Davidson Wildcats dropped to 2-1 in Atlantic 10 play on Friday afternoon, falling 4-1 to University of Richmond on the road.
The Spiders clinched the doubles point early, despite Alejandro Solares and Nico Pinzon picking up a 6-3 court two victory.
From there, Richmond won three of the next four singles matches to secure the league win, although Juan Camilo Perez Gongora came back from a 2-6 deficit with a pair of 6-1, 6-1 wins in the second and third sets to win his eighth solo match of the season.
Before the match went final, Solares was amidst a third-set, 5-3 battle on court one and Maxwell Kachkarov was tied at 2-all in the third set from No. 3.

Davidson will close out the regular season tomorrow morning at 11 a.m. against league foe Dayton.
