DAVIDSON, N.C. -- The Davidson men's tennis team returned to play for the first time in two weeks on Thursday afternoon, dropping a 6-1 match to Elon on the Davidson Tennis Courts.

Juan Camilo Perez Gongora scored the Wildcats' lone point of the day, winning a 7-6, 7-5 decision on court four for his sixth solo victory of the season.

Perez Gongora also won a doubles match at No. 1 with partner Maxwell Kachkarov, as the duo defeated Elon's top pair in Nicholas Campbell and Daniel Martin, 6-3. Despite Davidson's court one win, the Phoenix ultimately captured the doubles point along with five singles wins to clinch the match victory.
