'Cats Add Bucknell Invite Wins from Felt, 800 Free Relay

LEWISBURG, Pa. — Wins by the men's 800 freestyle relay team and freestyler Dylan Felt led Davidson's swimmers and divers Saturday on the second day of competition at the Bucknell Invitational.
After Felt won the 200 free, he joined Jeremy Kemp, Fletcher Smith and Ben McClain and made sure the Wildcats finished the day's final event in first, timing in at 6:34.73. The four took silver in last year's Atlantic 10 Championships.
In the 200 free, Felt touched the wall in 1:37.04.
Through two days, the men have totaled 720 points and are fifth among six teams, but only nine points out of second place. The Davidson women have 792 points and are fourth among seven teams.
For the Davidson women, two second-place finishes highlighted the day. The 200 medley relay of Leah Sandock, Maggie McCabe, Chale Jacks and Addy Donaldson swam second in 1:43.13. And diver Annica Valmassei was second in the one-meter competition with a score of 253.20.
Cynthia Huang (4:24.21) and Anna Newman (4:25.50) took fourth and sixth, respectively, in the 400 IM, and Newman was fourth in the 100 breast (1:03.02).
Diver Elle Jacobsen was fifth (1M, 228.90), and the 800 free relay of Sylvia Stewart-Bates, Jessie Cline, Kelsa Dator and Emma Murtaugh was also fifth (7:36.45). Jacks was fifth in the 100 fly (55.30), and Sandock took sixth in the 100 back (55.73) and eighth in the 100 fly (56.90).
For the men, Kemp turned in a second-place finish in the 100 back (49.62), and Andrew Schou took third in the 100 breast (55.27). Liam McDonough took fourth in the 100 back (49.69), and in the 200 free, Ben McClain (4th, 1:38.90) and Smith (7th, 1:41.05) teamed with Felt to provide a combined 81 points.
Kemp, Schou, Felt and Miles Charles earned fourth in the 200 medley relay (1:29.30), and Charles took sixth in the 100 fly (49.06).
