Wildcats to Host Old Dominion Saturday

The Davidson swimming and diving teams will be back in action Saturday when the Wildcats welcome Old Dominion to Cannon Pool.

The meet will begin with diving at 11 a.m. and swimming to start at 12 p.m.

It's the second of three home meets the Wildcats will host this season, following the Sept. 30 season opener against Queens and with the Jan. 20 date with William & Mary still to come.

LATEST ON THE 'CATS
• Saturday is the fifth competition date for the Wildcats.
• Last Saturday, Davidson won 24 of 26 events and swept the team wins at VMI.
• The Wildcat women won all 13 events against the Keydets to notch a 194-42 win, while the men won 143-79.
• Anna Newman and Dylan Felt led the way with two individual wins apiece. Newman won the women's 200 IM and 200 breast, while Felt swam first in the 200 IM and 200 fly.

'CATS IN THE RANKINGS
Felt, last year's Atlantic 10 Most Outstanding Rookie and Performer, has three of the top A-10 times so far this season.

Felt has the best times in the 500 free (4:31.18), 1,000 free (9:18.79) and the 1,650 free (15:42.56). He's also second in the 200 free (1:39.52) and fourth in the 100 free (45.76).

Sylvia Stewart-Bates is the only other Wildcat with a top time — she has the best women's 1,650 free swim to-date (17:21.30).
