DAVIDSON, N.C. – Coming off an impressive 2-1 win over Duquesne on Wednesday night, the Davidson men's soccer team will now make their way to Richmond for an Atlantic 10 showdown with VCU on Saturday night.

Conference Ramifications
Entering the weekend, Davidson sits tied for second in the conference standings at 3-1. VCU is just one conference point behind the Wildcats at 2-0-2. With three weeks left in the regular season, eight teams find themselves bunched together between current league-leading Saint Louis, who has ten conference points, and UMass with six.

Responding to Adversity
The 'Cats are now 2-0 coming off a loss on the year and have outscored opponents 5-1 after a loss. They followed up their defeat against Charlotte with a 3-0 win over George Washington, and on Wednesday, Davidson avenged their loss to Fordham by taking down Duquesne, 2-1.

Bennage Bonanza
Junior Vincent Bennage has been getting it done for the Wildcats on the front line. The Kenosha native has recorded nine points in the last four games and has notched multi-point games in his last three outings. With the recent outburst, Bennage is now tied for second in the league in total points with 15 and is tied for third in assists with five.

Davidson's Defense
The Wildcats enter another weekend as the A-10's stingiest defensive unit. Mike Babst's squad has surrendered a league-low seven goals on the year, one fewer than Saint Louis. Davidson's 82.5% save percentage ranks 12th-best in the country, and their 0.700 goals against average ranks top-15 in the country.

About the Rams
VCU enters Saturday with a 2-4-5 overall record and are one of two remaining teams that are unbeaten in league play. The Rams played one of the toughest non-conference schedules in the country which included four-ranked opponents, No. 1-ranked Marshall, No. 13 Missouri State, No. 21 FIU, and No. 23 New Hampshire. They also played North Carolina on September 4.

In conference play, VCU played Saint Louis to a scoreless draw, shutout UMass, defeated Loyola Chicago, and tied Dayton.

The Rams have scored just nine goals all season which ranks in the bottom three of the A-10 and have allowed 16. William Hitchcock is the lone player with more than one score on the year with two while seven other players have notched at least one.

In goal for VCU, John Ermini has started all 11 games while sporting a 66.7% save percentage. He also has made 32 saves on the year which is fifth most in the A-10.
