Women's Tennis Downed by ECU

DAVIDSON, N.C. - Davidson women's tennis fell to East Carolina University on Saturday, 4-0, in their first of two home matches to close out the month of March. The 'Cats fall to 9-5 overall.
ECU was was on fire today," head coach Susanne Depka said. "I give them a lot of credit. They came out free and relaxed. They were extremely tough to compete against.
"There were a lot of lessons to learn from today that we can take into tomorrows match. Overall, the team was in a better place mentally and have made progress since spring break. If we continue to enjoy and trust the process we will come out on top. I look forward to seeing what they bring tomorrow!"
The Pirates earned the doubles point after blanking the Wildcats in the two matches, with one left unfinished once ECU clinched the match. ECU took the win after earning victories on courts three, four and five.
