Tabor, Wildcats Rush Past Huskies, 90-65

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Cameron Tabor scored a career-high 18 points and the Wildcats shot 55 percent from the floor to earn Davidson's second postseason win in program history on Saturday night, as the 'Cats routed the Northeastern Huskies, 90-65, in the second round of the WBI.
Tabor shot 8-12 from the floor en route to her career-best outing, while grabbing four rebounds and dishing three assists. Chloe Welch and Tomisin Adenupe joined Tabor in double-figures, as Welch scored a team-high 19 points and freshman Adenupe scored a career-high 12 points. A Georgia native, Adenupe shot 4-5 from the field and 4-4 at the charity stripe in the outing.
With the win, Davidson captured its 17th win of the season and recorded its most wins in a single-season since the 2018-19 campaign.
Northeastern got out to an 8-2 start against the Wildcats, before Davidson collected a pair of three's from Elle Sutphin and Tabor to take a 9-8 lead and never looked back.
While the Wildcats pulled away to a 22-17 advantage after one quarter, Davidson went on to hold the Huskies to just nine points in the second and take a 38-26 lead at the break.
Northeastern would pull back within eight of the Wildcats in the third, at 38-30, before the 'Cats exploded into a 19-2 offensive run and ran away with the 35-point victory.

The Wildcats will close out the 2021-22 season tomorrow afternoon in the final round of the Women's Basketball Invitational, taking on Austin Peay at 2:30 p.m. Davidson and the Governors met earlier this season, with the 'Cats winning the match up, 65-64.
