Davidson Drops 4-3 Thriller to Spartans

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The Davidson men's tennis team dropped their match at UNC Greensboro on Sunday, falling 4-3 in the non-conference thriller.
The Spartans took the doubles point early, winning on courts two and three despite Maxwell Kachkarov and Nico Pinzon coming out on top with a 6-2 decision from No. 1.
Despite the early deficit, freshmen Pinzon and Udday Singh produced a pair of singles victories, as Singh won 6-2, 6-2 from No. 2 and Pinzon earned a two-set, 6-1, 6-2 win from court six. Senior Sam Kavarana came up big with a court five, 6-1, 6-3 singles win too, but the Spartans earned wins on courts one, three and four to secure the 4-3 narrow victory.
The 'Cats will be back in action on Friday afternoon at home to take on the DePaul Blue Demons.
