"There was quite a bit of adversity today and everyone handled it extremely well," head coach Susanne Depka said. "We were very mentally tough against a solid opponent. We continue to be strong in matches and each one we improve a little bit. This will prove to be in our favor throughout the season. It has been a lot of fun on court with this group."
The 'Cats took the doubles point with both pairs earning 6-2 wins over the Spiders. The two teams split the singles match results, 3-3. For Davidson, Emma Heiderscheit defeated Helene Heiberg in three sets, 6-1, 2-6, 6-1. Kavya Patel earned a tiebreaker victory in two sets, 6-4, 7-6 (7-0). Mira Gladstone earned her victory by default.
