'Cats Drop Dual to Ohio

Hardrick (165) took down Sean O'Dwyer in a close 5-4 decision after a takedown in the third period sealed the win and gave Davidson it's first victory of the day and first points of the day since Kyle Gorant in the 133-lb.-bout four rounds prior. Newell pinned his opponent, Zayne Lehman, in 4:07, in his first outing since Davidson's dual against George Mason in mid-December.
Ohio's first five straight matches included three ranked wrestlers taking down the 'Cats. No. 26 Kyran Hagan defeated Nick Cambria (141) by a 6-0 decision, No. 29 Alec Hagan took down David Loniewski (149) in an 11-1 major decision, and No. 25 Jordan Slivka defeated Bryce Sanderlin in an 8-0 major decision.
