Men's T&F Opens Up at the Vertklasse Meeting

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Men's track and field opened up day one of the Vertklasse Meeting Thursday at Dick Vert Stadium.
Wildcat junior Paul Mullinax edged closer to the hammer throw record. The Watkinsville, Ga., native marked a throw of 45.29-meters (148'7), a new personal best and two-feet of Jarry Taylor's record set in 1978. Sophomore Dylan Lageman stretched the tape 13.79-meters (14'5) in the shot put, a new personal best throw.
On the track, Senior Iain Anderson placed seventh in the 1500-meter run with a time of 4:03.70. Sophomore Joe dosReis wasn't far behind in 4:04.69.
Finishing the night off was junior Alex Ackerman in the 10,000-meter run. Ackerman completed the 25 laps in 32:43.14.
Davidson wraps up the final day of the Vertklasse Meeting tomorrow, Friday, Apr. 2.
