DAVIDSON, N.C. -- In their first match outside on the Davidson Tennis Courts this season, the men's tennis program struggled against Wofford University this afternoon, ultimately dropping the nonconference matchup 6-1 to the Terriers.

Sam Kavarana highlighted the day for the 'Cats, picking up Davidson's lone point of the game from a court three singles victory. The win marked Kavarana's first win of the season as the No. 3 competitor. After falling behind 4-6 in the first, the junior bounced back with an equalizing 6-3 victory in the second and ultimately clinched a win in the third set tiebreaker.

Ogden Timpson had a notable performance as well, as the Scarborough, Maine native competed in a pair of close sets from court six, falling 7-6 and 6-4 in his fourth consecutive singles start.

The 'Cats will be back in action at The Citadel next Saturday, March 13. First serve is scheduled for 1 p.m.
