CHARLESTON, S.C. -- The Davidson men's tennis team picked up back-to-back wins in Charleston this weekend, after beating The Citadel 6-1 on Saturday afternoon and College of Charleston 4-3 on Sunday.
"This weekend we picked up two hard-fought wins," said Head Coach Drew Barrett. "The conditions made it a battle. It wasn't always pretty, but our guys battled back and found ways to win."

The 'Cats put together a comeback victory against the Bulldogs on Saturday, bouncing back to win all six singles matches after dropping the doubles point.
Despite losing the doubles point, Maxwell Kachkarov and Alejandro Solares picked up an impressive 6-1 win against the Citadel's No. 1 doubles duo. The freshmen doubles team improved to 4-3 on the year with the win.
On the singles side, Kachkarov picked up his second singles win this year, from the court one slot, as he paced to a three-set win after taking the third 10-6. Yash Parikh edged out the Bulldogs' Schainblatt on court two, winning 7-5 and 6-4, while Ogden Timpson ultimately clinched the match for Davidson, with a 7-6, 6-2 win on court six.
Sam Kavarana, William Clark and Solares all picked up singles wins as well, while Solares battled to a third-set win and Clark and Kavarana cruised to commanding two-set victories.

Davidson dropped the doubles match again on Sunday, but Kachkarov and Solares managed to pull out an impressive 7-6 (7-5) win on court one.
Kavarana picked up the Wildcats' first singles win of the day, defeating Charleston's Ben Husum 6-4 and 6-2, while Solares won in two 6-4 results. On court six, Camden Mazzoni forced a third set and won 6-1 to put Davidson up 3-2 on the day.
From the No. 4 slot, Clark won the first 6-4 but fell behind 3-6 in the second. Finally, Clark pulled out a 7-6 third set, match-clinching victory that handed Davidson its second win in as many days.
The 'Cats will return to the court for back-to-back matchups once again next weekend, as Davidson will head to Presbyterian on Saturday and Gardner-Webb on Sunday.
