'Cats Rematch Richmond to Round up Road Trip

The Davidson women's soccer team will play its third straight road game Thursday when the Wildcats visit Richmond in Atlantic 10 play. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m.

Davidson is currently 5-3-1 overall and 3-2 in the A-10.

"Our players have done everything to be committed to be in the best possible condition going into Richmond," said Davidson coach Adam Denton. "Richmond has threats within the game that can cause any team problems. We're looking forward to the challenge of our third consecutive road game."

The Wildcats won the teams' first meeting 2-0 on March 11 when Sophia Caruso and Alexandra Menard scored in a six-minute stretch of the second half.

Davidson is coming off a 1-0 win at George Mason Sunday. Hailey Braemer scored off a Gretchen Pearson cross in the 34th minute.

Richmond (1-2-1) has had its two best results in its last two outings, tying George Mason 1-1 on March 18 and beating George Washington 2-0 on Sunday.
