Mullinax Moves Into Second All-Time at the 49er Classic

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Davidson junior Paul Mullinax opened men's track and field's competition account in 2021 with a strong showing in the hammer throw Friday in the opening day of the Charlotte 49er Classic.
Mullinax marked a hammer throw of 44.47-meters (145-feet, 10-inches) to place sixth in the meet. His toss ranks second on the all-time performance list behind Jarry Taylor's 45.78m mark from 1978.
The rest of the Wildcats head south tomorrow, Saturday, Mar. 20, for the final day of the 49er Classic beginning at 10 a.m.
