Despite finishing with a commanding 14-1 advantage in shots, Davidson's "Senior Day" matchup with VMI ended in a 1-1 (2OT) draw Sunday afternoon at Alumni Stadium.
After threatening with a number of scoring chances, Davidson finally broke through with a goal from Kendall Bushick in the 34th minute.
The junior forward took advantage of a poor Keydet clearance and slotted her one v. one attempt inside the far post.
Remi White had a chance to extend the Wildcats' lead early in the second half, but her attempt from in front was hit right at the VMI keeper.
Shortly after, the Keydets equalized with a goal from Whitney Edwards-Roberson that was assisted by Sarah Anschutz.
Davidson, which had the only scoring opportunities in the extra sessions, also held a 5-2 edge in corner kicks.
VMI keeper Sidney Swoope made six saves in goal.

The Wildcats move to 1-1-1 on the young season, while the Keydets are now 1-0-1.
"Ultimately, it's a solid performance, but it's disappointing not to get the win tonight," said coach Adam Denton. "We created numerous chances throughout the game, just didn't have that cutting edge when we got into the box and missed some opportunities."
